Mohamed El-Fatatry is the founder of Muxlim Inc., the world’s largest Muslim lifestyle network reaching tens of millions of people in 190 countries. During his work at Muxlim, he became the first immigrant to receive the President of Finland’s Internationalization award in its 45 year history. The award has never been awarded to a startup before and has been won by Nokia 10 years earlier. Coming from a Computer Science background, he has been named the “Egyptian Technology Figure of the Year” and is currently a columnist with Tekniikka & Talous.
Mohamed was among 200 business leaders recognized by President Obama at his “Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship” and was named by Georgetown University and the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center among the world’s “500 Most Influential Muslims” two years in a row. Recently, Mohamed became the youngest Business leader named among Chief Executive Magazine’s “Leaders of Tomorrow”.
Mohamed studied Computer Science at the American University of Sharjah, UAE and Media Technology at Metropolia University of Applied Science in Helsinki, Finland. Mohamed co authored a book titled “Islamic Marketing Handbook”, and the authorized biography of the first 25 years of his life will be published in 2012.
As a speaker Mohamed literally takes your breath away with his enthusiasm and knowledge. He can be referred as todays evangelist when it comes to redefining social media and innovations. This attitude can be seen in his mind-blowing presentations, too. He enjoys engaging with his audience and keeps the conversation flowing effortlessly.
