When we make important decisions we often act on our gut feeling instead of using our head. Why is that, and more importantly is it good or bad? In fact, it can be both, but the problem is to know when to trust our gut feeling and when a more rational approach is needed.

In order to improve our decision making we must learn more about ourselves and our pros and cons as decision makers. Furthermore, according to Ari, we must accept that we have pre-programmed instincts that are not attuned for the world we live in today.
Ari Riabacke, currently Head of Business Intelligence at the largest Swedish Management and IT Consultant Company, also has a M.Sc. in Organizational Decision Making, and is a member of the Decide Research Group at Stockholm University.
