Hans Blix is one of the best known Swedes in the world and is currently the Honorary Chairman of the International Commission on Weapons of Mass Destruction, which began its work in January 2004. Year 2000 Hans Blix was appointed by UN to head the United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission, which he continued until 2003.
Doctor of law and associate professor in public international law, Hans Blix has written numerous books on international and constitutional law. His most recent book ”Disarming Iraq: The Search for Weapons of Mass Destruction” was published in 2004.
Hans Blix has an unique insight into the international political world. His initiated lectures are full of sharp observations and analyses on the motives and actions that form the world politics.
