Magdalena Forsberg is a former cross country skier and biathlete. She was the dominating female biathlete from 1997 to 2002.
She has won the Biathlon World Cup six years in a row. She is also a six-time world champion, a two-time Olympic bronze medallist, and holds the record for the most World Cup victories in women's biathlon.
Magdalena Forsberg is one of the most beloved athletes in Sweden and has been Swedish sports person of the year four times. This is more than any other athlete and shows how extremely popular she is in her home country.
